Over the past couple of weeks on at least one occasion I have been seriously jamming post-Slapstick punk bands.
Slapstick was one of the figureheads of the mid-90s punk/ska fusion as they expertly melded juvenile lyrics with sloppy punk and horn blasts.

The new Beach House LP, “Teen Dream” has been making the rounds and I have been having a hard time with it.
I have listened to this thing like 5 times in the past couple of days but I don’t know if it’s because the music is that engaging or if it just washes over the listener, fading into the background.
